Langford Parish Council Mission Statement
Langford has always been a welcoming village, where people from all
backgrounds have lived side by side with understanding, goodwill and
generosity of spirit. We never want this to change and want the village to
treat everyone with respect, regardless of race, disability, religion, sexuality
or colour.
To support this Langford Parish Council aims to-
• Ensure that the Parish Council communicates well with residents,
appreciates their needs and leads in uniting the Parish.
• Provide an effective voice for the Parish, working in partnership with
other agencies for the benefit of all residents.
• Manage the Parish Council’s assets and finances in an effective,
efficient and transparent manner.
• Maintain and improve all village assets for which the Parish Council
are responsible.
• Promote and encourage voluntary activities within the village to
support residents of all ages and abilities and improve the local
environment.
• Help create a socially inclusive and caring community which
embraces all residents regardless of age, gender, disabilities, race or
religion and seek to promote mutual co-operation and respect.
• Be transparent, accountable and act with integrity in everything that
we do.
This Mission Statement is a live document and will be reviewed annually.
